Image Maupluation Option in php

Hi..

Can anyone please tell me who can I manupulate Images in PHP. I am using php v4.0.3 (and cannot upgrade compnay policies #@$$*)
Any Other alternatives than upgrading from PHP V4.0.3

Sorry but if you don't have gd bundled in your php installation then the only way to manipulate images is be dealing with the raw bit stream provided by fopen.
