Very important cookie?

Hello,

Im building a shopping cart that in this case needs to use cookies. I know that some people block cookies and therefor cant use the cart... is there a way around this? Can i give the cookie a 'very important status' or something so that the broswer lets it be created any way??

If a user blocks cookies a shopping Cart will only work with a database. Of course there are also possibilities with sessions and text-files but the database looks like the best way to me (better than cookies)

yes, i use db too, but i need to experiment with the cookies thats why i need to know if there is a possibility to tell the browser not to ignore the cookie... anyone?

When dealing with a shopping cart, it is best to use sessions because a lot of networks block cookies within the router location. Also some networks use Windows 2000 still and some will not permit cookies, even if the browser is set to accept.

A lot of users will shop from their work location wether it is company related or not, so you have to take into the conditions of network rules and procedures.

Session for a shopping kart are a good solution but what the customer wnat to come back continue shopping?
