Simple days question?

Ok i have a date 5th of march and i want a script that says,

"happily maried for x days" where x is the ammount of days they have been maried for?

Simple but i still need help.

$result  = floor(((time() - strtotime($married))/86400));
echo "happily maried for ".$result." days";

stuart, what LS has given you will work (for the most part), but there are 2 factors to keep in mind here...

1) The script doesn't account for leap years.
2) If the person was married before January 1, 1970, the strtotime function won't work.

Post more details about what kind of dates you will be using, and I'm sure LS's code can be tweaked a bit for you...

How do you figure? It's a straight math calculation of seconds...

Hi stuart... So long as the date is after January 1, 1970 and the format fits one mentioned at GNU's website for strtotime input formats, then you should be alright.
