Including into a table

I am working on a test project to help me better understand php.

what I want to do is, have my links change the data from the main table in the center of the page.

So with the layout idea that I have included. I want the links on the left hand side to change the information in hte main table (labled 1).

Is there a way that I can do this with php, because I really dont want to use iframes.

Any information or help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated.

ok I got that to work with my links. the only question I ahve is where in the code do I put the page that I want to call. IE if I wanted to call aboutme.html where would I put that at
