where do I get paid help?

I was wondering if there was a place to ask for paid help? I am wanting a few things, but I know that I am totally not qualified to do it. I don't want to ask here if I am not allowed so I was wondering where is it allowed? if it is allowed? If not where do you suggest I go?

Also how do you decide how much you want to pay for something or how much it is worth? I know a little bit of php, but what I am wanting (like I said) is way over my head.

Any help would be appriciated!!

At the bottom of each and every page of the forum is a link that says "Tech Jobs". That site is run by the same company that now owns PHPBuilder (for some years, IIRC) and is the major reason that the board's policy is "don't advertise for jobs here".

I suppose that there would be nothing wrong with reading some people's posts, making a short list of folks you want to ask for help, and either PMing them, or, perhaps more preferably, visiting their web sites (some of us have a "www" link along with "PM", "profile", "search", "buddy", etc.)

As that's what most web sites are about (advertising one's services), I'd think that'd be a good start.
