League Table In PHP

Hi again,

I am going to put a league table on my web page for football. I was wondering if there was any easy way of doing this. Just so I can keep football information up to date, and then it will auto sort itself so that the team with the most points will be top.

So for example, would like it to look like:

Team Name Played Won Drawn Lost Points
Arsenal 1 1 0 0 3
Newcastle 1 0 1 0 1
Norwich 1 0 0 1 0

Any help would be great? If you need more info, please let me know

Do you want to write it yourself? If not does it have to be a program or can you include an i-frame? If you do want to write it yourself are you hoping to store the data yourself? If not then where are you hoping to be getting it from and in what format? If you are hoping to store the info how are you hoping to upload it? By hand, an xml feed, csv? And last, but by no means least, why on earth do you expect anyone to help an Aresnal supporter? :p

I am actually an Evertonian, I only used arsenal as an example, as the example table may of confused people if everton were at the top?

I dont have a clue how I want to do it to be honest. I want it to be easy as possible, so would like suggestions, so I can have a play with the code. So if you were going to put a league table on a website, how would you personally put it on, so it is quick and simple to update?

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Well, the easiest answer, if you just want to display the table, involves absolutely no PHP at all. You just have an i-frame linking to a table provided by some nice site owner. Only thing that you do have to do is find said nice site owner. I would bet money that there's a betting site out there that provides this service (linking to it's relevant pages and a little banner of course) but what the hell, you get an an up to date, formatted results table with virtually no effort.
The lazy will inherit the earth, after the invasion has passed them by. 😃
