Filtering Content from System();

Hi,

I'm using the function system(); to run a command prompt.
it's works fine.

but if i make dir -> system("dir");

i get this out

and you can't do <pre>xxx <dir> xxx</pre>
so how can I filter the <dir> out and convert it to [dir] for example.

I tried it with str_replace(array("<",">"),array("[","]"),system("$cmd"));

and it doesn't work.

Try this, but if your problem is TAGS HTML use "htmlentities($x)"

yeah i see

because system functon outputs the string, not copies
