Help with query plz....

Hey everyone I am currently doing a website for a dating website which holds events.

This website introduces a number of 'Genders' such as babe, model, sexy and what not.

I have an Event_Gender table which records which 'Genders' are associated with each event.
There is a seperate record for each gender associated with an event.

I need to do a search page where the user can search if an Event contains a 'Gender' but only one gender....

Can anybody help me with this?

Hi Craig, what does the contents of EVENT_GENDER TABLE look like? Can u give some xamples?

Keep it simple:

"SELECT * FROM event_gender WHERE genderid= $gendervar" AND eventid= $eventvar"

will return what you want, ie this gender is associated with this event. If it returns no rows then you have the answer 'this gender not in this event'. $gendervar & $eventvar are taken to be get or post vars from the selection page. You can use this as a sub-query if you want to return details about either the event, or the gender, or both.
