Stuck again :(

Heres my situation:
I have installed WAMP to run php/mysql/apache at home. I mainly installed it for a testing server so that I dont have to keep uploading to test. The problem is, I am running Windows and the server runs Linux and I cant seem to get the mail() function to go. My only email account is a hotmail account. Does anybody know what I should put in the php.ini? Localhost and port 25 didnt work. What should I use for the localhost line? Does hotmail have mailserver names? Or should I be trying to send from my home machine?

I should clarify, I also have an email account at phpwebhosting of spokanevip.com. This is the Linux sever. I tried using mail.spokanevip.com, but that gave me the question of if I am on a Windows machine and my server is Linux do I need to alter the php to use the windows line or the sendmail_path = line.

The Windows implementation of mail() differs in many ways from the Unix implementation. First, it doesn't use a local binary for composing messages but only operates on direct sockets which means a MTA is needed listening on a network socket (which can either on the localhost or a remote machine). Second, the custom headers like From:, Cc:, Bcc: and Date: are not interpreted by the MTA in the first place, but are parsed by PHP. PHP < 4.3 only supported the Cc: header element (and was case-sensitive). PHP >= 4.3 supports all the mentioned header elements and is no longer case-sensitive.
