Having only just got my head into databases I have now set up Apache on my computer, followed by installing php and also phpMyAdmin. I am playing around on it at the moment and have followed one particular tutorial, setting up a database for a CD coillection. It seems to work well and now I am building a website to bring the results of the search into the site.
In an ideal world what I am aiming to do is approach one or two local estate agents with a view of designing an "Estate Agent" website that uploads the information of new houses into the data base. The viewer will have the ability to search by price, property type and also area. This will bring into the page a string of results.
Anyway, (Im Waffling) Has anyone done anything similar or could give me some good advice. I think PHP is a powerful thing but you just cant look at other codes out there to give you an idea of how to put it together, but I suppose once done no-one can come along and pinch your code and hard work.
