Form validation error

hi,

I have 2 forms that uses a validation script to check for certain fields.

These forms work fine 95% of the time, however, from time to time the forms produce an error for no reason at all....the only way to fix it is to ftp the forms upto the server again.

Hmm pleasse consider how you request help.

What is the error? What things change between the times it works and the times it doesn't?

We cannot see the code to debug because we are only seeing the client-side HTML after it's been processed by server.

Please answer above questions and enclose source code. If error refers to line number then please show which lin using a comment within the code. Alot of the time the line numbers may change from when a user c/p code into forum, forum displays code, another user c/p into editor to test. When this happens alot of the time the line numbering is different and coders end up trying to debug the wrong line.

EDIT: You say both forms foul up at same time? Off top of my head without seeing any code or errors I'm guessing you're using an include for something and the include is what is generatign the error.

Please include the code/text in this include as well

The only error message i remember is:

javascript error

"document.form1.c1 is null or not an object"

hope this means something to you.....

You have two HTML forms. Not php files. Wouldn't it be better to post this to a javascript forum,instead of a php forum?
