Extrapolate Contents From Other Pages

Hi to all,

I would like to know if it's possible to extrapolate part of the contents of other published webpages (of which I do not have the source file) and put it inside my own webpage. In other words I woulkd like that my webpage on loading retreives the webpage, extrapolates the contents I need and integrates it with my contents (or put it for example in an IFRAME).
Is this possible and if so how do I manage this?

Yeah, thought you might have said it was illegal. Don't worry I have permission to put the contents in my page, being a friend of the webmaster.
I currently achieve this by receiving an email from my friend with the contents I need. That is, when he rembers to do so...
I was just curious to know if it was possible to automate the process.
