A little PostNuke Help Please.

Hi all. I hate posting messages but this seems to be the best place to help me with my problem.

I taught myself enough PHP to be dangerous. The process was spurred by the fact that I couldn't find a good way to make a registration page for our LAN parties.

I'm able to use and access a database that I've created but I'd like to use the username and password from our PostNuke userbase. I don't have a clue on how to do it.... I don't want to spend hours trying to learn the backend of PostNuke. I browsed the PostNuke site but most of what they are talking about is foreign to me. Is what I'm asking doable?

Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Keywords to search for, resource sites, links or anything that will help me get up and running.

Unfortunately our party is 09/17/2004. Not alot of time. We have people registering via forum groups but I want players to be able to pick their seats. Last year we have 160 show... we're expecting nearly 200 this year.

Sure, it's "doable" -- but it will take time.

If I were you, I would install PhpMyAdmin -- http://www.phpmyadmin.org/ -- and start looking at the PostNuke database.

Once you understand how the DB is structured, you can write your own scripts to query it. Personally, I know very little about PostNuke.

PHP is a powerful scripting language, and it takes time to understand and learn about it. But definitely worth it in the end!
