I am a Linux newbie idiot, so please be gentle. If there's a FAQ on this, I can't find it.
My dedicated server provided just went belly up. I got a new server as quick as I could and moved my sites there.
OS is RedHat Linux 9.0
All is well except one PHP function that requires ttf support.
My PHP on the new server is not compiled -with ttf.
I am capable of following instructions, but please be clear...I am an idiot!
I figured out how to find out if freetype was loaded:
[root@35235 root]# rpm -q freetype
also gd:
[root@35235 root]# rpm -q gd
gd-1.8.4-11
I found and have figured out how to change my linux php.ini.
I have added modules on windows by uncommenting php.ini entries, but this is not a happening thing on Linux, I take it.
