Help!

Ok, I'm a student and I just started administrating an Apple OS X server. We run PHP to keep up the website. OS X comes with PHP 4.3.2. This morning we tried to upgrade from 4.3.2 to 4.3.6. The latter won't start operating until we disable the 4.3.2. Does anyone know the code to do this? Or the process in a GUI? Any and all suggestions are helpful.

Hopefully you can back out the changes to keep your server up in the meantime?

I know a good bit about FreeBSD, which kinda runs "under" OSX, but I see nothing in your post to clue me in on what you might need to do next.

How did you install it? What error message(s), if any, are you getting? Is the server serving? 😉 If so, what type of content is working or not working?

Hopefully, by answering you and keeping this thread "alive", we can get the attention of someone a little more proficient with MacOS. But it might be worth considering to repost your message with a little more information in it, and with a relevant subject line :eek: ....

Look in your httpd.conf file. I believe it is under /etc/httpd/httpd.conf, but on Mac OS X Server, it may be different.

Make sure you have all the latest software updates.

Where did you get the package?
