howto read drive lettre under windows?

Hi,

I have done an readdir application under php5 and everything works, just that I would like to add one singel function.

I want to be able to see all drive lettres from the windows computer (hdd, cdrom, etc...)

Does any one know how it works?

I sincerely doubt that this is possible with PHP. PHP reads the directory it's running in, i.e., the apache localhost, and can't move above it to the drives.

I think there may be micro$oft vb code that would do this for IE users only.
