With the alphabetized structure of the column, 'A thru Z'
Is there a way to re-order links (switch function? ) so they occur normally in the browser, yet coded on the page out of this order. "y" could be first.
Is this dangerous practice?
I don't understand what you mean by "coded out of this order on the page"
What I mean is that a link term starting with "y" for example would appear in its natural sequence within the browser. A Yo-Yo, near the bottom of the column. Just before Zid-Zid.
However the "Yo'Yo' is near the top of the coded page, even though it is viewed late when being viewed by the browser.
by coded do you mean the html or the php?
probably php

and if you want it to display correctly on the webpage, then you want it to output correctly from the PHP, so i wouldnt advise "formatting" your list via HTML (which would involve Jscript Im sure...) vs formatting your list in PHP and outputting it propperly to begin with....
