Server upgrade had broken my sites

I recently upgraded the software on my webserver
After the upgrade several of my websites (based on the same template) don't work

I get this error that previously wasn't there

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_connect() (previously declared in /home/virtual/site42/fst/var/www/html/rental/common.php:14) in /home/virtual/site42/fst/var/www/html/rental/common.php on line 10

Can I fix this without changing each site. If not, what is the problem and what suggestions can you make to help me fix this

I can see the error ... the new pho wont allow me to declare a function twice (include calls the same page again)

I wonder why this has changed?

Depends on what you upgraded to. PHP becomes very finicky about redeclaring functions in version 5. This has to do with the improved object orientation features.
