preg_replace?

Hi,

I want to take a user input title for a blog program and filter it so that it contains only spaces and alphanumberic characters. Other characters can be silently stripped from the string. Not quite sure how to go about this? Multiple calls to str_replace()? preg_replace?

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Not quite. Forgot the second argument 🙂

eregi_replace("[^a-z0-9 ]", "",$input);
