is this the right way of doing this?

I want to know what sitename equals
So i've done this:

$sitename = $_GET ['sitename'];
$tok = strtok($sitename, "/");

Also, i want to be able to get everything after sitename=none/
so how would i grab all that and put it in one variable.?

I suppose you could just grab each section and then stick them all together.
$var = $GET['blah'].$GET['blah2'] etc etc

But i don't know what the field names are.
However, doing a bit more research, i found this
$_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']
and if you use it like that it works.

ah ok basically everything after the = and before the next variable name.

so like index.php?action=blah&variable2=rarara&variable3=hhui

so you have 3 variables there

$GET['action'] will be blah
$GET['variable2'] will be rarara
$_GET['variable3'] will be hhui

that clear it up?

dcooper, I think what lucilue2003 is trying to say is that he/she doesn't know the index names in the string (the action, variable2 and variable3 parts).

lucilue2003, yes, that should do what you want it to do. Then you could use something like [man]explode()[/man] to separate it into individual index/value pairs.
