Howto: Cleaning up spaces after decrypting?

Hi,

I have a value that i crypt and afterwords decrpt.
But after decrypting the value has lot ob spaces.

ex. before: "abcyxz123456"
ex. after: ex. before: "abcyxz123456        "

How can I remove them?
I tried it with str_replace(" ","",$zz);

but it doens't work?

any other idear?

check out the trim function

If that doesn't work or if it is always at the beginning or end of the string, take a look at the [man]rtrim/man and [man]ltrim/man functions.
