Hi Everyone,

I know that everyones busy, but does anyone know where I can find a simple tutorial for a discussion forum?

Just want to get a feel for whats required.

I had a look at this link but would like to use MySql and Apache in the tutorial.

Kind regards,

    STFW????
Whats that when its at home!

OK I think I know what it means and let me know if im right.

STFW + "Search the F**KING Web"

      Right or not?

Well I have and I have not had any luck finding what I require to get my head around it.
So heres where I ask the forum for help.

If you can't find a good tutorial on a simple message board system then go to http://www.hotscripts.com and download one. Then disect it to figure out how it works. If you run into trouble with the disection come back here and ask more specific questions.

Until phpbuilder can better organise its articles/columns then we are forced to reference users to outside help.

http://www.phpfreaks.com is an invaluable site with countless articles on everything you could possibly imagine. I don't think they can provide what you're after exactly bt they take all the features of a BB and show how it is done. All you need to do is put them together.

Sorry about the 'STFW', I've had a realisation today about the apaling behaviour of some of the regs including myself in respect to new users and thier queries.

I hope you can find what you're looking for!

            Thanks Guys,

Drawmack, thanks I think that's the way I will go.

Davy thanks also. Will check out that site.

Believe me I wish I didn't need anyone's help, but here in New Zealand PHP is still in its HOBBY phase, so trying to get help down here is quite hard. for the newbie to get started.

Ill get there one day and I will always remember where I was when I first started out.

            Regards,
