hi All,

Just wanting to know if this can even be done?

I have a admin panel were my admins modify my site... I want to have code on there which will show how many e-mails are sitting in our website inbox... the email is hosted by a seperate site www.paradise.net.nz

does anyone know how this will work

Well is your mail web-based or something?

If POP3 then you could find a mail client written in PHP and see how they retrieve the mail messages as a counted list. Or retrieve them (without taking off the server) and count them yourself. http://www.thefreecountry.com/php/emailclients.shtml
