[Resolved] Renaming a folder with PHP?

I thought this would be as simple as creating or deleting a folder, but apparently it's not?

As best as I can understand, the way to rename a folder (with contents) is by iterating through all the files in the folders(s), move them to a new folder with the new name and then delete the old folder?

Or, is there a much more simple way to do this?

I remember [man]rename[/man] had trouble with directories, but the problems seem to have been reduced in more recent versions.

Thanks for that...now I feel dumb. I was digging all over the manual for that. Searching here also didn't get me that simple instruction.
