Take a look at www.xampp.org This is a complete apache/php/MySQL package for windows with an installer (there are packages available for other operating systems, too). You can switch between php4 and php5 with just one click and that package supports ssl. Additionally, you can download perl modules and much more. Within 30 Minutes you can set up a complete environment including a local SMTP server, FTP server and more.
