Hello All,
About to begin an adventurous project which will flow text evenly into columns like a newspaper. one of the worst things, layout-wise, is paragraphs that span 450, 550 or mor pixels.
I'd like to get the width in pixels of Verdana, Times New Roman, and Arial fonts, in sizes from 9 to 14 pixels (forget about em's or etc, I can translate), including the white space to the right of each letter. This will allow me to run though a calc and come to a splitting point.
I could cut and paste into a graphics program at 6 different px sizes (9-14), for 3 different fonts, for 26 different letters, but
6 6 26
is way more that I want to think about :-)
Once this is completed I'll post this coding for all, BTW it uses CSS and not tables and is robust.
thanks,
Sam Fullman
