save a upload file

hi,

i have a problem with upload a file.
the structure dir is public_html/a/
public_html/a/b/
public_html/a/c/

i have the script upload in dir c and i want to save the file in dir b.

how i write the save path in the script.
i tried ./../ but it didn't worked.

Note: i work on linux.

move_uploaded_file($_FILES['formname']['tmp_name'],"/home/username/public_html/a/b/".$_FILES['formname']['name']);
