Run a linux 8 box and have never done this before.
I have client files on my server with extensions m1v, mov, and avi. Some are really large like 30Meg+.
I want to "stream" the video vs. having the file download. I realize different browsers and OS's are going to handle the mime types differently. But is there a standard way to to trigger Quick Time or Window$ Media Player to "stream" the video so it starts at once?
I could use some URL's as I'd like to learn this well. ADDITIONALLY, I'd like to be able to stream audio (like a radio station), if any has tips on this please also let me know.
Thank you,
Sam Fullman
