Weedpacket starts wiping down the bartables in anticipation of Shrike's thousand-post bash. It'll probably take until his 1k post to wipe them all, though.

What a scripting language! PHP!

There has been an answer, PHP

Weedpacket finally gets around to Elizabeth's bit of the bar. He examines the spot in front of her by staring at it very intently (noting all the while that the rest of the bar is very well polished). Remembering his manners (and Health Department regulations), he refrains from the loud hawk-and-spit approach to cleaning the spot and instead suggests to Elizabeth that she move a bit to the side while he goes upstairs to see if the bottles of Wow-wow sauce he has stored in the room above have leaked.
Meantime, dalecosp was leading the singing (pausing only to order a long quiet drink for a heckler); bubblenut was standing on the table trying to balance a bowl of cornchips on his forehead while simultaneously chugging back bottle after bottle of beer; drawmack was walking around framing shots with his hands (while also framing other peoples' shots with his hands and making off with them before they noticed); LordShryku was having trouble with the door to the restroom and was beginning to look flustered; while the guest of honour took off his sights and perched them on the table before him, eased back in his armchair, hefted his tankard and contemplated boobs.
Fortunately dramack soon passed out under a table (one where no women in skirts were seated, unfortunately)
How come we never have fun like THIS anymore ....
Probably because that was before Facebook and Twitter?

One thing I don't use at all, and one I use sparingly....
Derokorian;11041163 wrote:One thing I don't use at all, and one I use sparingly....
One I use to keep in touch with friends/family, but generally a lot less than they do, and the other I nominally use, but don't understand why it's so popular (or just don't understand how to use it effectively ).
Also, I think as forums like this gain users (and more "drive-by" traffic), they lose that close-knit community feeling, perhaps?

Point taken; albeit, no one much on FB amongst my friends talks "geek" ....

Eh, I feel like its a pretty small community we got here, save for drive-bys, we just aren't the most active people on this board any more I feel like there's really <10 regulars.
A number of things have affected my participation; leaving self-employment, FaceBook, an MMORPG that shall remain nameless that I finally managed to "kick the habit" of ... some general "growing up" there, I guess, but I still find PHP forums useful.
As for Twitter, it's apparently "FB without 'friending' that attempts to keep antisocial behavior minimized by imposing a character limit" ...
