mail function

I used 'mail' function in PHP many times. But I have new box with 'qmail' no sendmail.

How can I send email without sendmail?
Any suggestions?

if the qmail was setup correctly, then it should be transparant and you'll use your mail() function as before without any changes.

I was trying to send email using mail function in PHP and qmail as mail server. No luck.

"For the Mail functions to be available, PHP must have access to the sendmail binary on your system during compile time."

I've setup qmail on my server and never had a problem with sending mail.
None of the people, which are using my server, have ever reported a problem with it.
In a correct setup, a symlink is setup to the executable located in the /var/qmail/bin/sendmail
Check with the sysadmin.
