POST and GET with an image as input

This is probably something simple, but I am wracking my brains trying to work it out.

I am trying to build a page with a thumbnails. When the user clicks the thumb, then I want to build a new page with the full image as well as some other information I retieve from a file. So when the thumb is clicked, I want to pass the image name as a post variable, but it doesn't work.

Also - are post & get a good way of doing this?

Here is the code from the posting page's form:

Because the src isn't passed from an input type, only the value is along with the name.

You'd pretty much need separate forms for each individual picture (which wouldn't be that difficult to do using a loop in PHP.) to do it this way... Otherwise, you'd need a radio button or something to pass each individual value once selected. To do a direct "click on the image" thing, you'd need to do as fean0r suggests.

I must be making some newbie mistake, but I cannot get the image to display on my page. Just to make sure I wasn't totally losing it I have loaded up another image out of the same directory (Lisbon-rooftops-web) and it loads fine.

Should the href be enclosed in the form?

The calling script is called thumbs.php and it calls process.php.

If you use a link instead of a form, then it is a GET method, and not a POST method (since it is passed via the URL). It would help if you showed the code for the called page (process.php), so we can guide you in the best manner to getting the image to dsiplay on it.
