HSBC CPI integration with PHP/Apache/Linux

Has anyone on here done a successful integration of their PHP shopping site with the HSBC CPI??

I'm looking at the documents supplied and its flying over my head with little filtering in.

I'm specifically looking for someone to just get me started in the right direction. Where to put the supplied files on the server(i'm a newb on linux) and how to get PHP to interface with them.

A bit general but i'm at the top of this and it's going to take a lot of head scratching before the bottom is found.
