problem displaying animated .gif

In my database I have a field which houses urls for images. When I display images that are supposed to be animated, they will show up but they won't be animated. When I view them on my pc, through my c:drive they are animated, but once I upload them, no luck. Do I have to do something special when I upload animated gifs?

No, nothing special... How are you uploading them? Do you have any example links, and images you can show us as an example? In any respect, this is probably not PHP related, but I'll try to help anyhow.
