Ok, I'm a newcomer to php and want to learn it for different reasons. I followed the tutorial on http://aesthetic-theory.com/learn.php?server2, but I got stuck right before the end installing MySql, in configuring a root user in the mysql.exe prompt. I don't understand what it means by do the following . I tried typing usemsql; on the first line and hit enter but got some error, so I am unclear as to what to do at this point in the tutorial.. Can someone please help me to finish this out, I came so far. Please either post or e-mail me would be better. Thank you so much,

You should enter USE mysql; on the first line. That will select the database called mysql.
