Session problem

Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem with my administration page.

Members of my website can login to modify their account, and everything has been fine for everyone until now. But, there's one person for whom it's not working anymore.

She enters her login and password. Apparently, it gives her access to the welcome page, where the login/password are checked and a session is created. But then, when she wants to go to the management page, it denies her access.

I'm not using any cookie. When I try myself, using her account, it works fine. And I haven't changed anything in the code for months, now. The strange part is that she tried other browsers, tried on another computer, she refreshed pages, cleaned up her temporary files and still it doesn't work.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening?

if it works on your machine it has got to be something client side, not server side causing the problem.

She's probably behind a proxy. The proxy is either caching the pages or messing with the session and that's causing the problem. If the proxy is caching the pages then setting your cache control headers should fix the problem. If the proxy is messing with the session then there's not much you can do.

How do you set the cache control headers to fix the problem?

If the proxy is messing with the session, why is it doing it now? It was working for her until now.

And isn't it strange that she had the same problem using another computer at one of her friend's place?

You use google to find this information, it is better documented that I could ever do here.

Not if they use the same ISP.
