I am new to the forum and would like to say thanks to whoever/whomever set this excellent site up!!
I would like to know if anyone can recommend a fairly simple CMS / Remote Edit/publishing tool, so that our client can go in and update text and upload new images.
I have looked at Mambo and others but they are overkill for what I am trying to do. The majority of the site will be static and using our own HTML designs with only certain areas of the site dynamic. So it's important that we can use our own design templates.
a typical usage scenario would be:
1. index page has a dynamic news section
2. client logins into CMS admin tool clicks on the index page link in which only the news is editable
3. client edits news (pref. a wysiwyg style), previews change, updates site. (also he can add a picture to specific areas as well)
I would like to keep it as foolproof and simple as possible. I may end up programming this myself, but I am not the best PHP developer so I'd rather use existing code. Any thoughts?
