I need some coding help!!

Hello I am trying to code a feedback page for my site. I want the page to return the date and time of the post. I am currently using

$todayis = date("l, F j, Y, g:i a") ;

The problem is is that it is returning the time and date of the server my site is on which happens to be in Hong Kong which is 15 hours ahead of us.😃

How can I get it to return the correct time with the 15 hours subtracted out?? 😕

Any help would be great!!

The easiest way is probably to subtract fifiteen hours. Maybe with [man]strtotime[/man].

I tried that but couldn't get it to work. Here is a more extended view of my code.

$todayis = date("l, F j, Y, g:i a") ;

$subject = "Feedback From " . $nameis;

$feedback = stripcslashes($feedback);

$message = " $todayis [EST] \n
From: $nameis ($visitormail)\n
Rating: $rating \n
Questions:\n
$req \n
Additional Comments or Suggestions: $feedback \n
Sent From IP = $ip \n
";

So did you try [man]strtotime[/man]?

echo date("l, F j, Y,");
echo date("g")-15;
echo date(":i a") ;

Thanks guy that seems to have done it. At least for 12 hours.
After it reaches tommorrows date there I get odd time readings. When it's 5am there and I subtract the 15 hours its -10am I need it to read the real time which is 5pm eastern, 2pm pacific.

Now what can I do.

Sorry Weedpacket but strtotime seems way out of my league. If you could show it to me that would be great. It would probly do it for me. Can you help??

See the examples on the [man]strtotime[/man] page; it shouldn't be too hard to figure out the sort of thing you want from those. Once you've got a corrected timestamp, pass that to [man]date[/man] as the second argument (and your desired format as the first). There's a line in Example 2 that illustrates this.
