Limit Relult Size?

hi chaps

ok what i'm after is to be able to limit the result size...

so say i used this:
$info=mysql_result($result,$i,"post");

say the result was 60 long but i only wanted it to display the first 50 of it how would i tell it to do that?

You can do it in the SQL query:

SELECT post FROM tbl LIMIT 50

Check out mysql.com for more documentation on LIMIT.
