transfer file from 1 server to another server

I am a newbie PHP developer, I have this problem:

I want to create a script that will transfer/upload file from the server where the script is uploaded, to my other sites.

Is it possible? if so could you please give a sample code how to do it please.

if you have shell access to the server you want to transfer files to you can use wget. It isn't a php thing, but it works great.

other wise you can create a simple ftp setup and connect to both servers.

your problem is that PHP is a server side language, that means normally you can handle client to server actions but not server to server quest.
But maybe there is another way...
