Identifying the web browser

Hello everyone, I'm new to PHP, and was wonder if there is a function to identify which browser the client is using. I'm asking because I would like to identify which browser the client is using, and then apply an appropiate stylesheet, which is concentrated on a certain browser. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Whenever you wonder if there is a function to do something, you should use the php documentation to find out.

Tip: Switch to Firefox.

Go to php.net.

Right click the search box. Click on "Add a keyword for this search," and name the search "php."

From now on, you can simply type "php somesearchterm" in your browser's location bar.

Thanks for all the help guys.. I'm really new to PHP, which is too bad. Wish I would have picked it up sooner. I already use Firefox primarily, but still have to design for IE, which sucks. But oh well, guess thats how it has to be. But thanks again. I really appreciate it.
