setcookie("cookieName", value, dat()+606024*30);
will set a cookie for ~1 month.
During that month I need to track the user, extracting the cookie data, sticking it in a dbase, then updating the cookie with the new values.
How do I do that WITHOUT resetting the cookie expiration date. I don't want to track the poor visitor for the rest of his life (Since of course, he's visiting my site at least 1 a month/12 months per year) - I just want to track his habbits for the first month.
Is it possible? If not then I suppose I can add a date("Ymd") value to the cookie and check how much time is left before expiration and reset the cookie with the new expiration time...but that would be more of a pain and I may be missing a quicker way...
