PHP, MySQL & Dreamweaver Help

HI all

I am a uni student n UK and as part of my Final Year Project, i am asked to create a web-based application.

The application is for a firm supplying interpreters of different languages to its clients. The application should have Three views; one for the client to book an interpreter, one for th efirm to view the process of each booking and the other for the interpreters page, where they can view their bookings, new available jobs and a diary to input which days they are available/unavailable.

Because i have never worked on web-based applications before, i don't know where to start from. I was told by many that PHP will be the right choice. Therefore i would Like everyone in here to give my any help and advice they can. Can someone also tell me what open-source softwares and tools i need to install. By the way i will be using Dreamweaver for the interface. Thank u all

All the secret of the Dreamweaver with PHP remains in the Application Bindings Tab (CTRL F10). is very simple to use and you can create RecordSets, Queries, Search engines, logins, etc etc.

You just have to be familiarized with webdesign and some Database logic.

You also need to install PHP (php.net) in your computer and I recommend MySQL (mysql.com) for your database. You also can get the MySQLControl Center to manage your data

There are many forums and places where you can get info, you just need to look for it.

Also a lesson book is always a great tool
