Dropping tables through PHP (simple)

Is anything wrong with the code:

$query = "DROP TABLE test";
$result = mysql_query($query, $conn);
if(!$result)
{
  echo "Error";
} else {
  echo "DONE";
}

Anyway I would do it like this:

if(mysql_num_rows($result) != "")

I wouldn't. [man]mysql_num_rows[/man] returns a number, not a string; and it's only valid for SELECT statements anyway.

rakennedy75: Have you tried it? If it works, what are your concerns about it?

I am getting an access error...

Access denied for user: 'databaseName@localhost' to database 'databaseName'

I am assuming I don't have privledges to do this. I will have to talk to my administrator about this but I can do this through phpMyAdmin and other db interfaces. When connecting to the database I am using the same user and password that I use for other interfaces. I guess I am not real clear on why this is happening.
