no file being sent

Run into another problem. Again this used to work but for some reason, its not working anymore since I reinstalled PHP and Apache on a new server.

Apache is 1.3
PHP is 4.2

Im trying to upload a file to the server using a form. Here is the code:

<td align=left colspan=3><input type="hidden" name="max_file_size" value="65000"><INPUT TYPE="file" NAME="pic" Size=30 style="background:#ffffff">
<br><font size=2>Max File size 65k, Max Pic size 250x250
<br>Uploading Several pictures will display them randomly</td></tr>

For some reason, there is no information in the $pic or $_POST[pic] variable. Not sure what is going on with it.

am surprised that it used to work... you should be using $_FILES['pic']

This had been probably a year and a half ago. Someone told me that this had changed to the $POST or $FILES from just the normal $var type. I must be using a new version of PHP than what I had used on the old server when it used to work. Thanks for the help John. Ill give your suggestion a try.

How do you break the $_FILES[pic] array up into is constituent parts?
explode()?

It's already in its constituent parts.
