html to pdf

Just a silly question.

Is it possible to take a html page with data outputs from a mysql database on it and convert it to a pdf document?

there are many possibilities, i suppose
i can think of
1. you can use one of the 1000 programs you can find with google
2. you can use ACROBAT, the mother of pdf
3. you can generate pdfs with php or java
i am a friend of the 3rd solution with java (if you want to use this, have a look at iText )

Its a solution that needs to be input into the site. Not reliant on the user to have acrobat or programs of other descriptions. So it would need to be php as I don't work in java.

When a list is displayed from a database on an html page there needs to be a button to click to convert the results to pdf.

Does that make sense?

surely makes that sense, why not? an easier solution would be if you use a stylesheet for your
html page with print values, so your listing will look different from the printing.
