Help with Top Banner

I am new to website stuff. I have taken a PHP theme and modified it to my own design. I cannot however, get the top banner to display (center) correctly for all different resolutions. Can anyone help me do this?

Hey, this spawns back to your actual page design. Such as your table is larger than what you are intending. You can change specific pixel sizes to percents but man that can go screwy in a hurry using an older way. Ok the easiest thing is just get a book on HTML and learn how to alter table's and develop from the ground up. I am glad to see you are relatively new to the board and you will find after your current project that PHP is a very powerful and great language! I hope you stick around and code like a crazy person! :queasy: Just learn XHML/HTML/CSS as a core before doing anything else. You will find it rewarding to know how to design from the ground up instead of the middle of the tower. Sometimes you need to go down a few levels to the beginning to run forward! What you can do is put your image in a table , center the table, set a size of 100% and then after you can put as the background of the table the same color of the endings of each side of your image or some kind of texture that simulates the extremes of your pic.

This way no matter how big is your reolution the image will look centered and the sides will extend from side to side simulating the extension of it.
