There is a script stuck in a loop on my server. I cannot stop it. I deleted it, and I ran one with die; in it. I keeps on going. How do I stop it?

Hi,
deleting the file doesn't help. PHP loads the script, parses it and then executes the generated code. I think the only way to stop the script is to restart the web server.

Son of a... I was afraid of that. There are going to be a lot of mad people on my server. 🙁
Could I just edit my php.ini somehow to get it to time out? As of right now, I am getting about 150 emails per minute.
Oops, so my host, Fuitadnet, had to restart my box. I brought everybody on that box down for a 20 minute restart.
I feel like an ass.
Beware everybody, don't accidentally let a script run with a never ending loop.
Hmmm,
I think just restarting the webserver (in worst case by killing the master thread and/or the hanging thread by hand) would've been sufficient.
