Poll + graphics???????

Hi guys... i need to make some kind of poll for an assignment......... any how, i'm kinda new to making polls in php, and im not sure how u make graphics displaying the percentage, with just 1 pic... say redbar.jpg........ i know how to get precentages of the votes and stuff, but i dunno how to make it so it only shows a "percentage" of the picture. ne ways my teacher showed us something didn't really tell us i remembered it was something like

<?php if($true/$total > 0.9): print("<img src=redbar.jpg>"); ?>

it was something like that, i don't really remember and im 99% sure that that's wrong.. i've tested it and it doesn't work... anyone got any ideas? Btw i did look in the articles.. didn't really understand...

You're better off generating these images on the fly. Check out phpfreaks.com. They have a tutorial just for polls. Might save you some headache or at least give you some pointers.

and it works fine....... and simple too anyways, if anyone else doesn't know how to do this its right here 😃
btw you have to repeat it for every vote option.......
