PHP.ini, include_path and PEAR

Hi,

I am having a problem where PEAR doesn't want to see includes in subdirectories. In the base PEAR directory which I have added to include_path it can access DB.php but not DB/DataObject.php. Have I left out a very obvious setting?

I have FC4 and do have php and apache working fine. Pear seems to be working fine of a terminal. I have my web apps in /var/www/html section while the pear files are in /etc/share/pear folder. Everytime I need to call any pear related file, I am forced to specify the entire path. Is there a way that I can ask php to look for /etc/share/pear folder automatically?.

I did add include_dir =".:\etc\share\pear" in the php.ini file and restart the httpd service...that did not help.

1. Your include _path will not scan sub-directories in the include path; you will have to add the subdirectories to the filepath. If your absolute path is:
   <include_path>/<include sub-dir>/<filename>

then you would change it to
<include sub-dir>/<filename> once you have established the include_path
