hi, im new to this,
basically been reading up on this, i have to design a system for a school project, the system must include a Macromedia flash interactive screen(flash will make it look all funky), the system will be like a booking system for movie tickets.
what my teacher wants is the flash front end screen linked to a dynamic database.
the database must be able to return a message to the user if they want to book a film and its unavailable, and also give them an option of other films in a list in the same message that is returned to the user if a films not available.
basically what i need help with is am i wright in saying that i can use an apache type of server on my PC that will use Mysql/php script that can link itself to flash and will it be able to provide the feedback to the end user if the film is not available?
if this is not possible through macromedia flash then could you recommend another type of program that will do this better or easier???
